The Story About us

A Little of History

Late Mr. K.K.S. Khader Mohideen Sahib first started this company in the early 1940s. His son K. Mohamed Hyder (who is now the sole proprietor) took over the company when he was only 13 years old in late 1970s and has gone on to become one of the leaders of the Indian leather industry.

Initially, KKSK started off with E.I Tannage since it was the most predominant system of tannage in India. After a successful spell with the E.I tannage, KKSK then shifted to chrome tannage and selling of wet-blue leather in the 1980s; thus becoming one of the first tanneries in India to do so. For the next 20 years, KKSK went on to become the number one wet-blue manufacturer in the region; with annual sales exceeding 10 million USD.

KKSK further diversified their leather operations into finishing as well as cut-components; without compromising the wet-blue sales. KKSK successfully targeted and entered niche markets across the Europe, UK as well as East Asian countries and are now the suppliers for some of the top brands and also for the European Orthopaedic market.

KKSK is now an ISO 9001:2008; ISO 14001:2008 and an LWG Gold Rated Tannery.
